Let’s Pretend We’re Normal: Book Release Party!
Please join me to celebrate the national release of my second book:
Let’s Pretend We’re Normal
Adventures in Rediscovering How To Be A Family

Solid Grounds Coffee House
This is my favorite coffee shop in all of Denver – it’s the place where Robb and I dated every Friday night for so many years with a mocha for me, a smoothie for him, a deck of cards to share, and live singer-songwriters. Perfection.
And then, for a most sacred location for our ‘last date,’ I hosted Robb’s calling hours at Solid Grounds on the night before his funeral. Now, how fitting that this is the location where I can release Let’s Pretend We’re Normal, the memoir of putting our lives back together.
On May 5, Let’s Pretend We’re Normal will be available for purchase for the first time at bookstores across the nation. At this release party, you can get your hands on the first copies, and I will read aloud one of my favorite excerpts. I assure you, that isn’t happening anywhere else in the world. 😉
Please come and get your own copy of Let’s Pretend We’re Normal.
I’ll even doodle my name in it with Sharpie if you want.

“Sometimes, you just have to pretend you know what you’re doing, pretend you’re brave enough, and pretend you can do this. Sometimes you just have to pretend you’re normal until the new normal finds you.”

Just finished the book and loved it (not that I even considered not loving it)! You and I have never met, but Rob and my son, Justin, were band buddies. The first time I heard you speak was a tribute you wrote to Mr. Davidson. I remember being very impressed and thinking you had a future in writing. Thank you for sharing your world with the rest of us!
Janeen says:
Congratulations!! 🙂 Thrilled for you, and your pretending-to-be-normal young men!

I have my copy, thanks to Google Books, and I started my party early…now I have to take an intermission to drive home, eat dinner, then party some more!! (something tells me I’ll have a short sleep again tonight)

Debbie – it’s a link to a Facebook invitation. If you’re not on Facebook, I can add you to the list! 🙂

Linda, I would love to! If you would like to help organize a book signing where you live, I’ll add it to the book tour! 🙂
