Take Your Kids To Work

photo

Take Your Kids to Work Day.  We are writing books.

Tuck is writing about polar bears.

Tyler is writing about how he would like to be like Jonas Salk and find cures for viruses like polio.

Not even kidding.

I'm kind of having to tone down the joy of my job, or they would never go back to school.  For instance, today I will make fewer stops at Starbucks, just out of principle.  So they can still respect me for the ways I spend my days and the work I do as not all 'fluff' and frappuccinos.

We are, however, writing at McDonalds this morning.  And I think we will hit the park later today.  You know, PE and all.

Almost makes me think I could homeschool. (Almost.)

  1. Of course you could; I did. And I'm not special. I am an ordinary mom of a dozen ordinary (extraordinary) kids. Homeschooling was a great way to interact with them and build relationships with them that have lasted a lifetime.
