Impostor Syndrome

“And what is your occupation, ma’am?””I’m an author.”

Though my son calls me ‘an offer.’

I wonder if I will ever answer that question without giggling in my head, feeling like I’m playing dress-up in a ball gown I’ve always wanted to wear.

I wonder how many words a person must write before she feels ‘legit.’

I can’t believe I get to do this.  Everyday.

OMG! That’s how I feel when I utter the words ‘I’m a photographer!’ I always giggle to myself.
