The flight attendant stops at my row to reiterate the instructions.

“Ma’am, remember: if the oxygen masks fall from the ceiling, remember to secure yours before helping your small children.”

“Yes, thank you.”

Little does she know, this has become my daily philosophy. “Get yourself safe and stable. It’s the only way you can help them.”
