Joy is Attractive
Last week, when I was traveling (until I abruptly wasn’t), I stood in line to board a plane.
The line moved slowly as a woman behind me complained about everything.
Too long, too slow, too stuffy, too (fill in the blank).
A handsome man, without a wedding ring – I notice these things now – made conversation with her. As she griped her endless list, he said, “Well, just think, this gives you more time to smell and breathe this fresh Colorado air.”
She complained that all she could smell was exhaust, all she could breathe was carbon monoxide. He smiled, as if she were funny. He was so polite. So optimistic.
Joy is attractive.
So is thankfulness.
And kindness is my very favorite thing in the world.

I don’t know why but I have always noticed wedding rings – always ! Men and women ~ I check those fingers.

But the question is, did you get his number?
(Don’t feel obligated to publish my comments…in my mind I talk to you as if you’re a dear friend sitting and drinking coffee in my living room.)

Amen!
