“You’re a writer?!  I’m a reader!  We should get together sometime!”

(Ah.  We’re both literate.  We have the world in common.)

“You’re from Ohio?!  I’m from Illinois!!  What are the odds?!”

(We’re almost neighbors, or we were when we lived in neighboring states.)

I don’t mean to be sardonic, sarcastic, insensitive or anything else that this might seem.  It takes serious courage to ask a girl out.  I respect that.

I do.

But those are stupid pickup lines.
