The Rest Of Us Are Regulars

Dear kind person at Starbucks,

You were gracious to ask if I am okay. You probably wondered why no one else asked.

It’s because the rest of us are regulars here. And sometimes I come here just to cry.

They know me. Now you do too.

Thanks for saying hello.

I was going to post almost the same thing…. reminds me of Cheers. And there are days it would really be lovely to have a shot of something from Cheer’s bar in that Starbuck’s coffee. Call me if you need a friend to sip and cry with. I’m a really good cry-buddy, having known the value of a good tear-letting, especially in the year or two after your world blew apart.

You are very truly, quite simply, great. 🙂

I love this. It’s like the place where everyone knows your name – a tamer version of Cheers. Oh that we all had a safe place to hide away when we need it.
