Crystal Gale Hair

Our server had long, dark hair that went down to her knees. Peter said she had Crystal Gale hair.

I agreed. “Oh, yes. Totally Crystal Gale.”

He said, “You know Crystal Gale? As in, ‘Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue’? I’m surprised, babe. She’s a little before your time.” He listed some of her greatest hits, and listening to them on the radio when he was in college.

“Oh, sure, I know her. She sang a duet with Big Bird on Sesame Street.”
