If I Didn’t Already Know His Dad

“Mom. Do you honestly need a suitcase that big?”

And then, “Ugh. You said we were leaving at 3:00. It is 2:45. Do you realize it’s almost time? Because you don’t look ready.”

And then, “Mom, do you see now why it’s a good idea to put your credit card in the same place every time you’re finished?”

“Tuck. I would really like to call you Robb Williford right now.”

“Go ahead, if you want.”

Meanwhile, “Tyler, I think there is one more suitcase downstairs.”

“Well, if there is, I’m a chicken.”

  1. First laugh o’ the mornin’! Love that kid. Love you for capturing that kid’s wit so well. My kids all grew up sort of “parenting” me because I was so ADD and forgetful. They still do. But hey, I got a LOT of material out of those interactions and they certainly learned to stay alert! 🙂 Just want you to know that if Robb were still alive, your son would likely still be double checking on your every move. We bring it out in people. Even strangers will ask me, “Do you need help?”randomly and often — because I probably go through life looking a little bewildered.
